The sudden death of the Duchess of Somerset reminds us (says the Dublin Freeman's Journal) that she was -the grand-daughter of Richard Brinsley Sheridan, the author of " The School for Scandal," the friend of Garrick, the companion of the Prince Regent, and the wildest and wittiest, the most gifted and the most reckless Irishman of hi? day. . The deceased Duchess- was aunt; to Loid Dufferin, Viceroy of India.
