Messrs Driver, Stewabt and Co. report as follows, for the week ending June 17th :— Fat Cattle. — The weekly market to-day was fully supplied with 110 head, but, as has been the case during the last month, only a very small portion of them were of prime quality. Anything really good was keenly competed for, and a few bullocks brought as high as £14 5s each, while, on the other hand, ordinary to middling were difficult to dispose of, 20 head having to be turned out. We quote prime quality, 25s to 26s per 100 lbs; ordinary, from 17s to 20s. We sold at the yards 45 head. Fat Sheep. — 900 were penned, most of which were cross-breds, and sold at from 11s to 14s 6d each. A few merinos of fair quality brought up to 10s.
