On the morning of the 9th, a small box, containing an explosive compound, was sent to Mr Maxwell Reynolds, Melbourne. In the act of opening it in the presence of Ins old partner, Mr English, it exploded. Mr Reynolds was killed, and Mr English injured. The police are endeavoring to trace the mystery. An inquest has been opened, but adjourned. Sir Gavan Duffy has declined a demonstration in Sydney. Ho goes home in April.
