PERSONS WANTED

Auckland. — October last, on warrant for false pretences, Patrick Vernon Hall, alias Terence O’Brien, age about forty-six, height about 5 ft. 7 in., seaman, painter, and paperhanger, native of Australia or England, thin build, red complexion and hair, deeply set green eyes, decayed teeth (some missing), bushy red eyebrows ; usually wears a dark-blue suit with pin stripes ; addicted to drink. He obtained £65 from Elsie May Morgan, 22 Summer Street, Ponsonby, by falsely stating that he was being chased by the police for £SO for income-tax, and that he had a house in Newton on which he owed some money. Auckland. 26th January last, on warrant for a breach of his probation (Offenders Probation Act, 1920), Leslie Harold Gordon Bills, referred to in Police Gazette, 1943, page 116. He has failed to report to a Probation Officer, and has failed to make restitution. *{/At 4

Auckland. —27th January last, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife and child, Laurence James Finn, age fortynine, height 5 ft., ship’s fireman, native of England, thin build, dark complexion, brown hair and eyes, small pointed nose, scar on left side of face. He is believed to have left the Dominion as a member of tho crew of the ship “ Port Hunter ” in 1933.

Tokaanu. —For escaping from Hautu Military Defaulters’ Camp on 12th ultimo— (l) John Thomas Casley, age thirty-eight, height 5 ft. 8 in., wharf labourer, native of New Zealand, good build, ruddy complexion, brown hair going bald, protruding. blue eyes, speaks loudly, strutting gait, slow movements, forceful manner. (2) Stuart Charles Casley, age thirty-four, height 5 ft. 5]- in., wharf labourer, native of New Zealand, good build, fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, stooping gait and drags his feet.
