Kaikohe.— Between the 18th and 20th October last, from a tent at 12th Brigade Headquarters, the property of the ..HEW, ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Army Department), a -38 calibre six-chambered double-action Smith and Wesson revolver, No. 3415, foresight slightly bent, “ Property of United States ”on it; value, £4. Whangarei. 9th ultimo, from the footpath in Cameron Street, the property of lAN. STANLEY RIDDLE, Hinerangi Street, Te Kuiti, a four-valve Columbus wireless set, serial No. 14119, model 12 ; an Army valise, containing nine pairs of dark-grey socks with red wool in tops; a pair of khaki socks; two cream-coloured face towels ; a white tea-towel with red, blue, and green border; two Army grey flannel shorts, sizes 4; a pair of Army cream-coloured short underpants ; and a Gillette safety razor; total value, £l4 1 Is. 3d. Whangarei.—On the 24th September last, the storeroom of the Awanui Hotel, was broken into and the following, the property of THOMAS JORDAN FLEMING, licensee, stolen : A dark-green office safe, 30 in. by 24 in. by 24 in.; a black and gold coloured cash-box, 12 in. by 9 in. by 4 in. ; eighteen 2d. stamps ; and £l5O 18s. in money including a £5 note with “70” in circle on left corner; total value, £167 13s. Safe and cash-box identifiable. Early on the morning of above date a light truck with a name on the side of it was seen to leave the hotel yard.

Devonport. —Between the sth and 7th ultimo, from the military post, Stanley Point, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Army Department), a pair of Army prismatic binoculars, No. 96866, Government on them, graticuled to 1 degree ; value, £7 10s. Identifiable.

Freeman’s Bay.-—About the 27th October last, from the engine-room of the ship “ Hokitika,” the property of MASON BROS., engineers, Pakenham Street, a Black ancf“DecFer Junior electric drill, serial No. 624069, \ in. chuck, type B ; value, £8 10s. Identifiable. Between the 13th and 18th ultimo, from the office of the firm mentioned, the following described motor was stolen : A 1 h.p. Papatoetoe.-— sth ultimo, from the dwelling of GRAHAM REDVER WILLIAMS, Huia Road, a gentlemen’s navyblue suit with pin stripes, size 5, made by Harrison, tailor, Lambton Quay, Wellington; six gentlemen’s handkerchiefs of various colours ; an 18 ct. gold wedding ring, made by James Pascoe ; a gentlemen’s 9 ct. gold signet ring with “ G.R.W.” on it; and a finely carved wooden cross, 1J in. by 1 in.; total value, £l7 3s. 9d.
