PROPERTY STOLEN.

♦ Auckland. —On the 4th ultimo, the dwelling of JEANNETTI LAIRD, 28 Golf Road, Epsom, was broken into and the following stolen : A pair of Zeiss binoculars ; a gentlemen’s 15 ct. gold hunting watch, No. 7770, black numerals and hands, “ Made by D. and C. Morley, Royal Exchange, London,” on inside case ; a 15 ct. gold watchchain, fine twisted- wire type, broken at each end; als ct. gold cable-pattern watch-chain, small trinkets at one end; a pair of gold oval cuff-links, with “ R,” “ E,” and “ L ” on them ; a brown leather attache-case, 15 in. by 10 in., “ J.L.” on it ; and a metal square cigarette-lighter, branded “ Glowlite ” ; total value, £32 15s. Palmerston North. —2lst or 22nd ultimo, from a tent in the Showgrounds Camp, the property of Privates JOSEPH STUART EDWARD HAMILTON and LEONARD PAUL EISCHBACH, a four-valve portable battery radio covered with green cloth, 12 in. by 12 in., Skyscraper dial ; value, £5 ; and a five-valve portable broadcast Gulbransen radio in oak cabinet, about 14 in. by 9 in. ; value, £25. Identifiable.

Levin. — the 12th and 14th ultimo, from the R.N.Z.A.E. Transport Workshop, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Air Department), a Black and Decker electric breast-drill with Jacob’s £ in. chuck : and about 10 ft. of rubber flex with three-point white porcelain plug ; value, £lB. Drill identifiable.

Greymouth. 9th ultimo, from the dwelling of JOHN KENNEDY MARTIN, 117 Reid Street, Blaketown, a gentlemen’s gold-filled open-face watch, “ A. G. Petley, jeweller, Westport ” on dial, Roman numerals with numeral 3 directly below winder ; a brown soft leather wallet, 3 in. by 6 in. ; a gold medal with representation of pugilist on front, “ S ” or “ J. K. Martin, lightweight special, M.8.A., 1926 ” on back ; and £1 in 2d. stamps ; total value, £l2 15s. Identifiable except stamps.

Christchurch. July last, from the CANTERBURY MUSEUM, a -45 calibre six-chambered double-action Smith and Wesson revolver, firing-pin removed ; value, £4. Identifiable.

Ashburton. or sth ultimo, from a hut in Westerfield Camp, the property of Lance-Corporal ALFRED HENRY ROGERS, a gentlemen’s gold square Swiss wristlet watch with round dial, No. K. 42036, luminous hands and numerals, black leather wrist-strap with, gold buckle; value, £8 10s. Identifiable.

Dunedin. Bth ultimo, from the dwelling of ALBERT CAMERON DUFF, 79 MacLaggan Street, a four-valve Sparton broadcast radio, model No. 417, serial No. 095339/ 8855, dark wooden cabinet, about 18 in. by 9 in. by 8 in ; a nickel-plated round bedroom clock, 2 in. in diameter, Arabic numerals ; and an axe ; total value, £7 16s. Identifiable.
