SPECIAL NOTICE.
Bank-notes Missing. Palmerston North. At. about 11 a.m. on the sth instant a parcel containing one hundred Reserve Bank of New Zealand £lO notes, Nos. 156401 to 156500, the property of the NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT (Post and Telegraph Department), was posted at Wellington addressed to the “ Bank of New South Wales, Bulls,” but it failed to reach the addressee. The parcel should have travelled by train to either Greatford or Palmerston North and then by mail contractor to Bulls. Urgent inquiries are to be made with a view to tracing the bank-notes, and the numbers supplied to all banks and other places where they are likely to be tendered. Any information obtained regarding the missing notes is to be communicated to the Inspector of Police, Palmerston North.
