Whangarei.John Aitctieson, default of maintenance Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 685.)

’ Queen Street Wharf (Auckland). J. Porter, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Queen Street Wharf (Auckland) police. His correct name is John Joseph Porter. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 893.)

Auckland. Noel Truman Wiltshire, inquired for, has been interviewed by the New Plymouth police, but no evidence resulted, and the blankets have not been recovered. He is now on service overseas under the name Terrence O'Rourke. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 965.)

Auckland. — Mrs. W. Wilson, alias Mrs. E. Carson, obtaining credit by fraud, has been arrested together with her husband, William Robert Falconer, referred to in Police Gazette, 1940, page . 957, and most of the property of the Farmers’ Trading Co. has been recovered. She is not identical with Mrs. C. Harris or with Miss J. English, but she is identical with Bessie Falconer, referred to in Police Gazette, 1940, page 957. (See Police Gazette,' 1940, page 685.)

Auckland. — Percival Jack Hamlin, absent from Army, has been arrested by the Hamilton police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 950.)

Auckland. — John Benjamin Roberts, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Matamata police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 969.)

Auckland. — Christina Winifred Yalland, missing, has been located, and no further action is to be taken. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 971.)

, Auckland.William' Sefton, alias King Sefton, theft, has been interviewed by the Upper Hutt police, and he admitted the offences. His correct name is Willoughby Cecil Sefton. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 751.)

Auckland.— Joseph Paltridge, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Waitara police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 893.)

Auckland. — Lawrence Leach, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Wfiakatarie police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 914.)

Ellerslie.— Winifred Joyce Robertson, absconding from State institution, has been located by the Hamilton police, and she has also been interviewed regarding the theft of the money, but no evidence resulted. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 971.)

Otorohanga.— Unclaimed motor-cycle found : The motorcycle has now been claimed by ‘ the ’ owner. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 981.)

Hawera. — John MacMurchy, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Ongarue police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 913.) ;

Wellington. William Marne Clarke or Clark, default of maintenance: Warrants cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 314.)

Wellington — D’Arcy Joseph Steele, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Greymouth police (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 948.)

Wellington.— John Michael Murphy, alias Michael Murphy, referred to in Police Gazette, 1940, 1 page' 744, was found drowned in the Wellington Harbour on the 14th ultimo.

Wellington. — Albert Robert Plaice, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Napier police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 878.)

Christchurch. — Henry Hammond, assault, has been arrested by the Hamilton police. ' (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 733.)

Christchurch. — Harold Frederick Price (correct name Harold Price), false pretences, has been arrested by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 980.)

Gore. — James Henry Hammond, obscene language, has been dealt with for this offence. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 809.)

Gore Mary Bridget Thompson, missing, has been located at Mataura. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 950.)
