APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland— James Henry Sargent, alias William John Walsh, indecent assault, has been interviewed by the Lower Hutt police, and he denied the offence. He assumed the name Henry Richard McDonald. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 425.)

Auckland. Henry Kidd, tailing to maintain: Warrant cancelled. (Sec Police Gazette, 1912, page 281, and 1934, page 73.)

Auckland. — Owen George Tracey, default of maintenance, died in the St. George Hospital, Sydney (Australia) on the 28th September last. (See Police Gazette, 1926, page 477.)

Huntlv. Jack Wolfe, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Taranaki Street- (Wellington) police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 933.)

Te Awamutu. — Joseph Denby Bean, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Mount Eden police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 947.)

Rotorua. — Patrick James Houlihan, theft, has been interviewed by the Dunedin police, but no evidence resulted (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 893.)

Opunake. — Frederick Rowland, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by the Trentham police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 893.)

Palmerston North. — Charles James Devine, alias Brady, suspected of theft, has been interviewed by the Palmerston North police, but no evidence resulted. The overcoat and fountain-pen have not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 421.)

Palmerston North. — Charles James Devine, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Hamilton police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 710.)

Palmerston North. — J. Cameron, alias Archibald Cameron, false pretences, has been arrested by the Inglewood police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 933.)

Wellington. McKenzie Aitchison, deserting Navy, has returned to his ship : Warrant cancelled. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 915.)

Wellington South. Charles Fraser, false pretences, has been served with the summons by the Wellington South police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 646.)

Greymoutii. — Mervyn Archibald Drummond, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 444.)

Christchurch. — Ernest Charles John Sforer, theft, has been arrested by the Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 806.)

Rolleston. — Norman Gordon, absent from Army, has been arrested by the Wellington police. His correct name is Norman Marlborough Harris. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 369.)
