Devonport. — Frederick Charles Briggs, deserting Navy, has been arrested by the Wellington police. He assumed the name Frank Le Bas. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 518.)
Auckland. — Alexander Roy Simpson, default of fine and costs: The warrant has been executed by the Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 709.)
Auckland. — Ivan Arthur Ward, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the New Plymouth police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 729.)
Auckland. — Arnold Allington Austin, deserting Navy, has been arrested by the Hikurangi police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, pages 664 and 733.)
Auckland. — George Ritchie, alias Richie, referred to in Police Gazette, 1939, page 375, died at Auckland on the 6th instant.
Auckland.— Phillip Neil Partridge, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Queen Street wharf (Auckland) police. His correct name is Phillip Noble Partridge. (See Police °a u/y/tV. Mount Eden.—Charles Ebenezer Clarke, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Freeman’s Bay police. (Sec Police Gazette, 1940, page 516.)
Whakatane.—Arthur Francis Munton, rogue and vagabond, lias been arrested by the Dunedin police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 686.)
Gisborne. — Harry Stone, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Waiuta police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 557.)
Napier. — William Featherstone, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Mount Cook police. He assumed the name William Quigg. (See Police Gazette, 1939, page 182.)
Waipawa. — Thomas Michael Russell, false pretences, has been arrested by the Hamilton police. His correct name is Thomas Michael Landy. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 494.)
Palmerston North. — John Walter Levens, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Porangahau police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 558.)
Johnsonville.— William Cook, escaping from mental hospital, has been arrested by the Mount Eden South police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 626.)
Petone.— Keith William Rainey, alias Henry Harry Grant, suspected of theft, has been interviewed by the Wanganui police and he admitted the offence, but the watch and ring have not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 292.)
Wellington. — Frederick Walter Beech and John Patrick Murphy, breaking entering and theft, have been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 686.)
Wellington. — Louis Charlton Dawson, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Castlecliffe police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 730.)
Reefton.James Baker Harris, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Te Kuiti police. (See Police Gazette, 1940, page 558.)
