♦ — . Queen Street Wharf (Auckland).— Christopher Irwin, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Te Kuiti police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 675.)

Auckland. Joseph George Dixon, default of fines and costs, has paid the amount to the Te Awamutu police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 659.)

Auckland. — Robert James Hamer, convicted (see Police Gazette, 1938, page 449) : He died in the Paparoa Hospital, Maungaturoto, on the 21st ultimo.

Auckland. Walter Price, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 617.)

Auckland. — Edward Swarthy Martin, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Mount Eden (South) police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 689.)

Auckland.— John George Collins, default of maintenance has been arrested by the Mount Eden police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 719.)

Auckland. — James Pluck, alias Joseph Pluck, default of fines and costs, has paid the amount to the wharf (Wellington) police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 747.)

Papakura. Allan David Rogers, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Hamilton police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 720.)

Hamilton. Robert Kirk ness, alias Jackson, alias McPhaii, obtaining credit by fraud, has been arrested by the Henderson police. He is identical with Robert Kirkness, referred to in Police Gazette, 1936, page 50, and Photographs, 1932, page 43. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 747.)

Hamilton. — Cecil Henry Morrow, missing, has been located at Ohakune. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 750.)

Taumarunui. — Matene Turei, alias Martin Turei, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount to the Manunui police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 720.)

Wairoa. — Frederick Alexander Corby, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Port Ahuriri police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 748.)

Dannevirke. Joseph Kenneth Gifkins, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Dannevirke police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 660.)

Wellington. Conrad Kirk McKay, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Thames police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 720.)

Wellington. — James Little, alias James. Neil Little, forgery, has been arrested by the Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 676.)

Greymouth. Gan ice Hugh McGiliigan, default of fines and costs, has paid the amount to the Blackball police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 690.)

Christchurch. — Herbert Hill, failing to maintain: His correct name is Herbert William Hill, and he died in the Greymouth Hospital on the 14th September last where he was known by the name Patrick Herbert Carey. (Sec Police Gazette, 1924, page 322.)

Christchurch. Charles Henry Burney, default of fines and costs, has been arrested by the Amberley police. He assumed the name Charles John Burney. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 357.)

Christchurch. — Charles Henry Burney, inquired for, has been interviewed by the Amberley police. (See Police Gazette, 1937, page 441.)

Dunedin. — John Charles Stephens, suspected of theft, has been interviewed by the Palmerston North police, but no evidence resulted. He assumed the name John Charles Frederick Stevens. (See Police Gazette, 1936, page 489.)

Dunedin. — Girsten Olsen, alias Sigurd Olsen, deserting ship, has been arrested by the Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1938, page 644.)
