Co.” inside): total value, £1,194 10s. Suspicion is attached to Two SVSerB (names unknown)(l) height 5 ft. 10 J in., slight build; dressed in a grey suit and grey felt hat : and (2) height 5 ft. 7 in., strong build ; dressed in a striped brown suit and dark-felt hat. Melbourne (Victoria). — warrant has been issued for the arrest of John Henry Merton, alias Francis Randal! Sanderson, alias Murray, charged with obtaining at Melbourne on the 15th November, 1926, £25 from Arthur Clifton Beilby by false pretences. Description : Age about forty, height about 5 ft. 9 in., civil engineer, good build, fair complexion and hair, clean-shaved, full face ; dressed in a dark-grey sac suit, light-coloured felt hat, and usually wears spectacles ; good appearance ; supposed to be a native of New Zealand. Accused, who carried on business at 497 Collins Street, as a mercantile broker, sent quotations to country grocers offering goods at prices far below those quoted by wholesale houses, and after obtaining orders for groceries in which were enclosed cheques and money-orders amounting to £2,000, he disappeared without supplying the goods. He may come to New Zealand, and should he he located, or should he leave again for Australia, a communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington.
