SPECIAL NOTICES.
Auckland. —On the 25th July last, the dead body of a female child was found in a yard at the Glenalvon Boardinghouse, Waterloo Quadrant. The body was wrapped in some clothing, and appeared to have been born from ten days to a month previous to its discovery in the yard. Any information regarding parentage, &c., is to be communicated to the Inspector of Police, Auckland.
Hawera. On the 19th ultimo a portion of a split £1 Bank of New Zealand note, No. 0583875, was uttered to Stephen James Catran, confectioner, by some person unknown, Similar offences may be committed at other places.
