INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney (New South Wales). —Ist August last, on warrant issued at Sydney for failing to maintain his wife, Lillian Knight, Henry Knight, age thirty-seven, height 5 ft. 10 in., builder, contractor, carpenter, and mechanic, strong build, brown hair, grey eyes, clean-shaved, dark rings under eyes, scars on back of neck ; well dressed ; speaks with a drawl. Ho may be accompanied by a girl named McNamara, ago twenty-two, height about 5 ft. 7 in., thin build, dark complexion and hair, dark eyes ; stylishly dressed. He was in Wellington about August last. HEYNE PROPRIETARY (LIMITED), 100 Flinders Street, on the 25th ultimo : Seven x Telex, 6 x 24, Nos. 1187123, 1187126, 1187128, 1192426, 1192128, 1192429, 1192430; one x Deltrentis, 8 x 30, No. 1216279; six x Telexem, 6 x 24, Nos. 1187372, 1187376, 1187476, 1187477, 1187478, 1187479; sixteen x Silvamar, 6 x 30, Nos. 971507, 971516, 1113940, 1113952, 1113953, 784403, 784408, 784470, 1113927, 1113941, 1113954, 1113970, 970406, 971453, 971458, 971474; twenty-one x Silvarem, 6 x 30, Nos. 1184371, 1184372, 1055243, 1055250, 1195581, 1195582, 1195583, 1195584, 1195585, 1195586, 1195587, 1195588, 1190283, 1190284, 1190286, 1190287, 1190288, 1190431, 1190432, 1190433, 1190434; and two x Delturism, 8 x 24, Nos. 1193561, 1193565. Each field-glass has “Carl Zeiss” over Jena on it. If any information concerning the stolen articles is obtained a communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (P. 24/1433.)
