Masterton.— Since the 21st ultimo, William Dunn Hodges, age sixty (looks younger), height 5 ft. 7| in;, clerk, native of England, sallow complexion, grey hair and eyes, full face, clean-shaved ; dressed in a grey suit and dark-grey-felt hat, and wears glasses ; fond of gambling ; active appearance. Inquiry by Mrs. Nora Allan, boardinghouse-keeper.
Havelock. Since the 24th ultimo, Hugh G. Ross, age twenty, height 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, black hair, brown eyes ; clean-shaved ; sullen disposition a quarter-caste Maori. Inquiry by his brother, John David Ross, jg New Brighton. Since the 10th ultimo, Edith Winifred Griffin, age twenty-three, height 5 ft. 5 in., domestic, native of New Zealand, medium build, fair complexion, dark hair, blue eyes ; dressed in a dark-grey flannel costume, blue overcoat, and heliotrope-velour hat trimmed with light ribbon.
