Circular No. 8/23.] Offences in respect of Slot Telephones.
With reference to Circulars Nos. 2/15 and 3/17 and Memorandum of 7th April, 1919, published in Police Gazette, 1919, page 244, relative to the payment of rewards for the detection of offences in respect of slot telephones, notification has been received from the Secretary, General Post Office, that it has been decided that in future the reward payable to a member of the Police Force for securing evidence leading to the conviction of a person or persons on a charge of theft of cash from, or committing an offence in respect of, a slot telephone or cabinet will be £2 25., similar to that paid for securing a conviction on a charge of breaking telegraph insulators.
