INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
London (England) lnquiries are requested for Emile Cote, alias Michel D. Adolphe, alias Michel d’Adolphe, who claims to be the representative buyer for the Canadian Fur Company, Victoria, British Columbia. He may be in possession of two forged letters of credit for £4OO and £I,OOO, purporting to be issued by the Dominion Express Company, Victoria, British Columbia, and reimbursable by draft on the Bank of Montreal, London. He left Constantinople on the 31st July last with a British passport in the name of Emile Cote, and an emergency certificate, No. 1175, issued at Constantinople in July last in the name of Michel D. Adolphe or Michel d’Adolphe. Description : Age twenty-eight, height 5 ft. 8£ in., medium build, dark hair, brown eyes ; when smiling shows an extra fold of flesh under upper lip; aquiline features ; Jewish appearance. If any information regarding him is obtained, an urgent communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington. (P. 23/1274.)
