APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland. — Thomas Arthur Reid, default of fine and costs, has paid the amount due to the Paeroa police. (See Police Gazette, 1922, page 501.)

Auckland. Walter Laidlaw Mercer, missing, has been arrested by the Napier police. (See Police Gazette, 1919, page 340, and following paragraph.)

Feilding. — Walter Mercer, false pretences, has been arrested by the Napier police. (See Police Gazette, 1923, page 400, and preceding paragraph.)

Waipiro Bay. — Horacio Acosta, default of fine and costs, has been arrested by the Whakatane police. (See Police Gazette, 1923, page 366.)

Gisborne. — Alexander Wesley Simpson, failing to maintain, has been arrested by the Hamilton police. (See Police Gazette, 1922, page 591.)

Taiiiape. — Michael oseph Rodden, default of maintenance, has been arrested by the Hamilton police. (See Police Gazette, 1923, page 366.)

Raetiiii. — Ernie Wilkinson, forgery, has been arrested by the Christchurch police. He had assumed the name Ernest Thompson. (See Police Gazette, 1923, page 366.)

Napier. — Steven Shirley, default of maintenance, has paid the arrears to the Thames police. (See Police Gazetle, 1923, page 348.)

Hastings. George Grant, alias Jack Gray, alias William Ryan, default of fine and costs : A warrant of commitment in default of paying the amount has been executed by the Upper Hutt police. (See Police Gazette, 1923, page 336.)

Wellington. — Norman Horace Jury, breach of Bankruptcy Act, has been arrested by the Brisbane (Queensland) police and brought back to this Dominion. (See Police Gazette, 1923, page 296.)

Christchurch. Frederick Ponninghaus, alias John Stephenson, alias Frank Boddington, alias Frank Bonnington, breach of probation, has been arrested by the Timaru police. (See Police Gazette, 1923, page 164.)
