SPECIAL INQUIRY.
Hamilton. —Special inquiries are to be made to establish the identity of a man whose body, on the 24th ultimo, was found in an advanced stage of decomposition at Stoke’s Gully, Frankton Junction. Description : Height about 5 ft. 7 in., three teeth in left side of lower jaw, no upper teeth ; dressed in a brown pepper-and-salt-coloured tweed suit with “ Ballan - tyne and Co.” on tag, dark cloth overcoat, white shirt with blue narrow stripes, tussore-silk collar, heavy woollen underpants and socks, black heavy boots (size 8), grey-felt hat, and leather belt. A black-handled Bengal razor and a wooden pipe were found alongside the body. Death had occurred about two months previous to the body being found.
