Auckland. —l2th instant, on warrant for failing to provide for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, William Shiels, age thirty-six, height about 5 ft. 6 in., cheesemaker and ex-naval seaman, native of Scotland, slight build, dark complexion, curly hair going bald, grey eyes, anchor on one arm ; usually dressed in a grey suit; rolling gait. Accused and Leonard Nuttall, referred to in following paragraph, stole the articles from complainant whilst he was asleep on Frankton Junction railway-platform and pledged them in the Waikato Loan/Company’s .pawnshop for £2.
