SPECIAL NOTICES.
Christchurch. During the night of the Ist instant the offices of the Ricearton Timber Company, in Riccarton Road, were broken into, and two boxes of Manilla cigars stolen therefrom. An attempt was also made to blow open the safe by means of gelignite.
Dunedin. During the night of the 6th instant the shop of James Wright and Son, butchers, Cargill Road, was broken into, and the safe blown open by means of gelignite or other explosive, and £2 stolen therefrom.
Dunedin. — the night of the 9th ultimo the premises of James Lindsay, produce-merchant, £>3 Cumberland Street, were broken into, and the safe blown open by means of gelignite or other explosive and 12s. stolen therefrom.
