Dannevirke.— sth November last, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Margaret Mabel Buchan, Empire Street, William James Alexander Buchan, age thirty-four, height about 5 ft. 11 in., olerk and farm labourer, native of New Zealand, strong build, fair complexion, black hair turning grey, brown eyes ; usually dressed in a grey or navy-blue suit.

Takapau. —2oth instant, on warrant for failing to provide for the future maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child, Jack Johnston, age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 11 in., motor-driver, native of England, slight build, dark complexion, wavy dark hair turning grey, dark-blue eyes, scar on forehead and under chin ; usually dressed in a grey-tweed suit, tan shoes, and cap. Petone. — loth July last, on warrant of commitment to Wellington Prison for seven days in default of paying £2 os. 6d. fine and costs for driving at an excessive speed, Percy Higgs, age about twenty-seven, height sft. 7in., taxi-driver, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair and eyes, clean-shaved, round face; usually dressed in a darkgrey suit, black-felt hat, and high-heeled boots ; smart appearance.

Wellington. —l9th instant, on warrant of commitment to Lyttelton Prison for seven days in default of paying £1 10s. fine and costs for a breach of the City By-laws, Edward Sullivan, age about twenty-six, height 5 ft. 6 in., fireman, native of New Zealand, medium build, sallow complexion, dark-brown hair.

Wellington. —Bth January last, on warrant for failing to maintain his wife, Barbara McTagget, Main Road, Porirua, Robert William George McTagget, age thirtyfour, height 6 ft., barman, native of New Zealand, medium fresh complexion, brown hair, light-blue eyes, Indian ring tattooed on one finger; well dressed; smart appearance. He is at present in Sydney (Australia), and he may be accompanied by a barmaid named Alice Gamble.

Wellington. — lsth instant, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Alice Ann Fletcher, William Joseph Fletcher, alias Joseph William Fletcher, age about forty, height about 5 ft. 9 in., miner and labourer, native of Australia, strong build, sallow complexion, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, growth near left ear, scar on left forearm, prominent artificial teeth. Wellington.— 2Bth ultimo, on warrant for theft of a camera (recovered), value 15s. 6d., the property of Ethel Ford, accountant, 56 Victoria Street, Duncan Chasland, alias B. Chasalen, age about eighteen, height about 5 ft. 6in., cook and waiter, native of New Zealand, medium build, sallow complexion, curly dark hair; usually dressed in a brown suit (no hat). The camera was stolen from Denham’s office at 56 Victoria Street, and sold by accused for 3s. 6d. to Spolsky, second-hand dealer.

Blenheim.— lßth November last, on warrant for false pretences, William Lees, age about twenty-seven, height about 5 ft. 6 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, medium build, sallow complexion, light-brown hair, long features; dressed in a blue serge suit and soft - felt hat; slightly stooped; fond of gambling and horseracing. He may be accompanied by his wife and child. Accused obtained £l3 from Charles William Botham, farmer, Tuamarina, by falsely representing himself to be employed by the Public Works Department, and that he was sent to complainant by George Attwood. There are other charges pending.

Westport. comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his wife, Bessie Driscoll, Waimangaroa, and two children, Joseph Driscoll, alias Hodges, alias Hodgetts, age thirty -two, height 6 ft., labourer, native of Australia, strong build, fair hair and complexion, blue eyes, blue mark on nose and forehead ; usually dressed in a grey suit or khaki trousers and puttees, and felt hat; erect gait; frequents hotels. Arrears to 13th January last, £23 16s.

Ashburton. —21st November last, on warrant for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order for the support of his child, Colin William Rennie Campbell, age thirty, height 5 ft. 7Jin., labourer and miner, native of America, medium build, sallow complexion, black hair, grey eyes, left eye twisted, cleanshaved ; usually dressed in a blue suit and fawn-felt hat ; smart appearance.
