SPECIAL INQUIRY.
Spit. lnquiries are to be made to establish the identity of an unknown man whose body was found on the 28th ultimo in an advanced stage of decomposition, washed up on the beach at Westshore. Description: Age about fifty, height about 5 ft. 9 in.; dressed in bluish-grey-tweed trousers and vest, soft light-coloured shirt with turned-down collar and green knitted tie. The following articles were found in deceased’s clothing: A shilling ; a metal watch ; a silver hunting keyless Omega watch, No. 3983280; and a goldfilled metal fetter-and-one-oval watch - chain, similar to illustration No. 9 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 1. If any information regarding the identity of the body is ascertained, a communication is to be sent to the Inspector of Police, Napier.
