Dunedin. — 24th December last, the property of WILLIAM CAMPBELL, 125 South Load, Gaversham, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel 22 in Speedwell bicycle, straight handles with one black-celluloid grip, rat-trap pedals, Eadie Coaster bub, iron mud-guard on front wheel; value, £5. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to a Man (name unknown), age twenty-six, height 5 ft. 8 in., medium build, sallow complexion, dark hair, clean-shaved ; dressed in a dark-grey suit, dark soft-felt hat, and black boots. Suspect borrowed the bicycle fiom complainant and has failed to return it.
Tapanui.— Between October and 20th January lasi, from a paddock at Pomahaka, the property of ALEXANDER MAGKAY, farmer, four steers and a heifer, fifteen months’ old, shorthorn cross, each earmarked with an arch-shaped piece out of one ear; value, £2O. Identifiable. Suspicion is attached to William Stiven, a resident of Tapanui.
Waikaia. Between the 28th December last and 12th ultimo, from JOHN NIGHOL ELLIOT’S farm at Wendon Valley, forty ewes and twenty wethers, two-, four-, and sixtooth, and forty lambs, ewes earmarked with a Y-shaped piece out of top and back of right ear; wethers similarly earmarked on left ears ; ewes branded FL on right side and wethers FL on back; lambs are not branded: total value, £l3O. Identifiable.
Invercargill. —2nd January last from the racecourse, the property of R. JENKINS, cheosemaker, Tisbury, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free - wheel Aurora bicycle, B.S.A. fittings, upturned handles, 24 in. frame, point of saddle broken, celluloid mud-guards (front one patched); value, £7. Identifiable.
Invercargill. — 2sth December last, from outside the Town Hall, Tay Street, the property of FREDERICK BUTSON, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled free-wheel Aurora bicycle, 22in. frame, upturned handles with leather grips, large Brooks saddle, celluloid mud-guards; value, £lO. Identifiable.
