SPECIAL NOTICE.
Dunedin. NATIONAL BANK OP NEW ZEALAND notes stolen : On or about the 19th ultimo one ot the notes No. A 599830 was uttered to the Bank ot New Zealand New Plymouth, by some person unknown, and on the 4th instant several of the notes with the dates altere 1 (in ink) to read “ 1916 ” and tho first figure of the number altered to “3 ” were uttered at Christchurch. One of them was cashed by a Man (name unknown), age about forty, height about 5 ft. 5 in., strong build, fairly heavy moustache ; dressed in a dark-blue suit and light-tweed cap, and was carrying a leather hand-bag.
