Auckland. —On the 17th ultimo the dwelling of FRANCIS TAYLOR MURISON, Gillies Avenue, Epsom, a gentlemen’s gold-filled hunting keyless watch; a gentlemens 18 ct. gold long watch-chain ; a gold round brooch, about the size of a shilling, with “Mamie 1915” on back; a gold large oval brooch, set with pearls on a cross; a gold bangle, similar to a “Nellie Stewart”; a raised gold bangle; a gold-filled curb bangle with eighteen or twenty pearls attached, a silver bangle made from eight sixpenny-pieces, with “M.E.” in raised letters on one of the coins; a small round Egyptian brooch ; a small gold star pendant, set with an amethyst in centre and six or eight pearls attached in loop ; and a fine gold curb chain : total value, £lB Os. lid. Identifiable.

Hamilton. —2Bth ultimo, from Victoria Street, the property of ERNEST RICKARD, Puketaha, a gentlemen’s free-wheel Scout Governor bicycle, 26 in. frame, reversible handles with green grips, back-pedalling brake, rat-trap pedals, Dunlop tires; value, £5. Identifiable.

Taradale. — Between the 30th September last and the loth ultimo, from JOHN WILLIAM DUMBLE’S dwelling at Meeanee, a pair of gentlemen’s black lace-up boots, with pointed toes, size 8; three gentlemen’s brown woollen vests ; three white shirts, size 5 ; an 18 ct. gold curb heavy watchchain, similar to illustration No. 15 in Police Gazette, 1911, page 2 ; and £4 in silver : total value, £3O. Identifiable except money.

Hastings. —l7th ultimo, from the Show Grounds, the property of LESLIE HENRY, a boy’s black-enamelled bicycle, No. 27896, front-rim brake, rat-trap pedals, front mud-guard fastened with wire, new ribbed tire on front wheel; value £4. Identifiable.

Hastings. —lsth instant from CHARLES HENRY GUMBLEY’S store at Fernbill, a dark cash-box with gold lines on it. 12in. by 6 in. ; fifty £1 notes, mostly on the Bank of New Zealand ; a £5 note; about £1 worth of postal notes; £5 in silver money; a cheque, No. 795207, for £lO on the Bank of New South Wales, payable to Gumbley and Sons, and signed “J. Dibben ” ; cheques, Nos. 804116 and 804117, for £2 and £1 respectively on Bank of New South Wales, signed “ Eneir List ” ; and a cheque, No. 675876, for £1 19s. on the Bank of New Zealand, payable to Gumbley and Sons, and signed “W. Puschel ” : total value, about £77 4s. Cheques only identifiable.

Palmerston North.— JOHN CHARLES CROAD’S dwelling broken into: It has been ascertained by the Palmerston North police that this offence was committed by Franz John Eugene Baucke, alias Francis Baucke, who is serving a term of imprisonment for another offence. The stolen property has not been recovered. (See Police Gazette, 1917, page 643.)

Normanby. —Bth instant, from a dwolling in Mountain Road, a gentlemen's silver hunting keyless lever watch, with “ Lancashire Watch Co.” on dial, and a gold-mounted black-ribbon watch-guard, with a shield with owner’s

initials on it in centre, and a gold sovereign-case with owner’s initials on it; total value, £10; identifiable; the property of RICHARD HENRY LE FLEMING: also thirteen £1 notes (not identifiable), the property of HARRY PARSLOW.

Wellington. —l7th instant, from Tuckers and Farley’s shop, Cuba Street, the property of EMMA CLARKE, 330 Tinakori Road, a ladies’ gold-hunting keyless Swiss watch, No. 123482; a ladies’ leather suede handbag ; a black-leather wallet, containing four £1 notes and a 10s. note; a small green purse, containing £lO 10s. in gold: total value, £2O. Watch and handbag only identifiable, Suspicion is attached to a Boy (name unknown), age about twelve, height 4 ft. 6 in., good build, fresh complexion, reddish hair; dressed in a white soft shirt and dark trousers.

Mount Cook. —9th instant, from a vest on the s.s. “ Pateena,” the property of WILLIAM WEEKS, a gentlemen’s silver double-case keyless Waltham watch, No. A.L.P. 154941; a leather fob chain, with a brass Indian head at end; and 4s. 6d. in money : total value, £3 os. 6d. Identifiable except money.
