Auckland. —9th instant, from the dwelling of ROBERT FRENCH, journalist, a 9ct. gold bangle, flowers engraved on side, value £1 2s. 6d. ; a yellow-coloured crocodile-leather pocket-book with elastic band ; an old brown-leather purse with clasp on side, edges sewn with cotton ; and about £3 in money.

Papakura. —l3th ultimo, from the hut of CARL MATSON an English silver lever open-faced watch, rust-mark in lower part of second-hand ; a pair of blue-tweed trousers, size 4, “ C. M.” in ink on inside of waistband ; two soft white shirts, one with collar and one without, “ 0.M.” on them in ink: value, £5 11s. Suspicion attached to John Evans, age fifty-five, height 5 ft. 3 in., labourer, native of England, medium build, fresh complexion, grey moustache only; dressed in grey suit (and hard black hat; fond of drink, and very noisy when in liquor.

Frankton Junction. —23rd March last, the property of WILLIAM THOMAS BARRY, a dark-brown hack mare, aged, about 15J hands high, white mark under near eye where skin had been knocked off, near hind leg slightly lame; value, £lO. Identifiable.

Bull’s. —15th ultimo, from the Clifton Hotel, the property of WILLIAM PARR, lahourer, a gentlemen’s free-wheel Rapid bicycle, No. 2576, turned-up handles, black-enamelled frame ; value, £l2. Identifiable.

Palmerston North.— llth instant, from the motor-car of ST. CLAIR JOUNNEAU, settler, a brown opossum rug, about 6 ft. square, lined with brown cloth, slightly moth-eaten ; value, £6. Identifiable.

Wakefield. —Between the 9th and 17th March last, from the tent of ELLA TANNER, a ladies’ silver hunting Geneva watch, No. 884917, “E. T.” on shield, “Ella Tanner” engraved on inside ; value, £2 10s. Identifiable.

Globe Mine. —Between 15th and 17th February last, from the dwelling of WALTER McEVOY, miner, a 15 ct. gold watch-ohain, catch from one end missing ; a 15 ct. gold oval locket, flowers engraved thereon and a plain oval space for name, attached : value, £7 10s, Identifiable.

Waimate. —Between the 11th and 13th ultimo, from a whare, the property of THOMAS CHAMBERLAIN, labourer, a double-barrelled breech loading gun, both barrels choke-bore, “N.Z.A.C.” on top of barrels, two sling-rings on one barrel and one on stock, a burn-mark about 1J in. long on stock ; value, £4 10s. Identifiable.

Ashburton.- —-17th instant, from the dwelling of JOHN TEMPLETON OLSEN, sawmill hand, two £1 notes, supposed on Bank of Australasia (one partly worn) ; a blue sac suit with slit at back of coat, diagonal pattern with narrow green stripe every inch, made to fit man 5 ft. 9 in. high, coat had tab with “John Swanson, tailor, Ashburton,” on it, value, £3 ; a five-pointed gold star (Orange emblem), with monogram “ J.T.0.” on back, value £1 10a. ; also a yellow emblem, size of shilling, with words “ Church of Christ, Dunedin, 1910,” thereon (both emblems attached to an almost worthless nickel watch-chain with small ordinary round links, to which was also annexed a small heart-shaped glass gold-mounted locket, and a threepenny piece) ; a double-bar gold brooch, with scroll at each end and spray in centre, “P. W.,” or “P. Ware,” at back, value £2. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to some passing Burnham boy.

Mosgiel. 9th instant, from the dwelling of JANET McKAY, a ladies’ gold ring, set with a diamond, value £4 ; a ladies’ gold double chain bangle, joined with a gold ball, value £5 ; a gold ring, set with a ruby, value £1 10s.; a crysolite brooch, shape of a tomahawk (gold head), value £1; a gun-metal wrist-watch, Roman figures on dial, value 10s.; two sovereigns ; and about Bs. in silver.

Dunedin. —Between the 21st and 26th January last, from the s.s. “Ulimaroa,” between Port Chalmers and Melbourne, the property of MARGARET YARD, Elmore, Vic toria, a gentlemen’s gold hunting-watch, “T. Yard” on inside of front case ; a ladies’ hunting-watch ; a gold cable bangle, set with a pearl in each link ; a gold cross, set with pearls and turquoises ; a gold heart locket, photograph of man and child in it ; a gold muff-chain, long square links joined together with small round link ; a gold brooch, two half-moon pattern, set with pearls and sapphires; a gold brooch, consisting of two birds holding a gold chain, with heart attached ; a ladies’ gold ring, set with emeralds and diamonds ; a ladies’ gold ring, “ Margaret ”on it; a child’s gold bangle, with small chain attached; and two small silver rope-pattern bangles, set with rubies.
