( 3, Waipukurau. —29th or 30th ultimo, from Wanstead, a Kaiapoi rug, cream colour and a light-brown colour on respective sides, various coloured stripes running through the rug, fringe on both ends, “ M. Carterton. —l4th or 15th instant, from the bedroom of HAROLD H. ISAAC, baker, a black-enamelled cash-box, brass handle on top, containing four sovereigns, a £1 note on the Bank of New Zealand, and about 20s. a gentlemen’s 18 ct. gold ring, about in. wide, chased on edges, “ In Memoriam ” in gold letters on black ground in centre, value £3 ; a ladies’ small gold bar brooch, with heart in centre, value £1; a gentlemen's gold scarf-pin, Queen Victoria’s head in white on top, value £2 ; some papers, amongst them complainant’s marriage-certificate, registered in London, England.

Wellington.— Between sth and 12th instant, from Rash and Gooder’s shop, Mercer Street, the property of Dr. HERBERT FAULKE, a gentlemen’s silver open-faced English lever watch, No. 80057, Beba, Lickhart, and Co., makers, Norwich ; value, £4. Identifiable.

Mount Cook (Wellington). —May last, from the shop of CHRIS'IMANDT, Cuba Street, a ladies’ gold keyless hunting Waltham watch, “M. I.” engraved on shield, a small diamond in centre of one case; value, £5 16s.

Nelson. —2sth March last, from JAMES JAMES, butcher, a gold medal, inscribed “ N. B. A., Open Tournment, Welter Weight, won by James James, 24th November, 1909”; value, £3. Identifiable.

Lyell. —Between 11th and 14th ultimo, from the NEW ALPINE GOLDAMINING COMPANY (Robert A. Stewart, manager), twbf Copper plates, about .4 ft./fi yr: fbpg by 2 ft. 4in. wide, attached to Thomas Harcourt (see Police Gazette, 1906, pages 209 and 298, and 1910, page 190) and Stuart Wall* (see Police Gazette, 1910, page 211, and Photographs * Discharged Prisoners, 1910, page 26). These men had a contract from the company, clearing up the debris around the battery, and left on the morning of the 14th ultimo. Harcourt sold 7 oz. of gold at Collingwood, which cannot he identified as part of the stolen gold. Information as to identity of suspects supplied by Detective W. Campbell and Constable W. J. Nixon, Greymouth police. Hokitika. —6th instant, from the dwelling of DAVID BROCKLEHURST, Hau Hau, a £lO note, a £5 note, two £1 notes, and about 10s. in silver ; a ladies’ gold open-faced watch, numerals on dial, a very fine gold muff-chain attached (small-link-and-fetter pattern) ; a gold brooch, a photo encircled by leaves, bird mounted on top, bow at bottom, about 2 in. long; two old-fashioned large silver brooches; two scarf-pins, one a gold nugget, the other a piece of red coral with gold bands across it; a gold and black - enamelled mourning - ring “I. M. O. ” on it, and several gold embossed rings. Suspicion attached to Frank Christian Olsen, alias Anderson, age twenty-four, height 5 ft. 7Jin., painter and sailor, fresh complexion, red hair, blue eyes, “ K.
