Appointment as Constable. Ist April, 1908. No. 1418.—Willetts, John. Rewards. Constables C. Carey, No. 1100, and A. J. Thompson, No. 1147, have been awarded £2 each for services in connection with the conviction of R. Sullings for keeping liquor for sale in a Native no-license district. (07/2747.) Sergeant T. J. Drake, No. 385, and Constable J. Cahill, No. 779, have been awarded £1 10s. each for services in connection with the conviction of A. J. Fussell for sly-grog selling. (08/703.) Sergeant H. Beattie, No. 538, and Constable J. H. Sweeney, No. 1106, have been awarded £1 10s. each for services in connection with the conviction of James Kinnaird for sly-grog selling at Utiku. (08/759.) Constable J. J. O’Grady, No. 1160, has been awarded £1 10s. for services in connection with the conviction of Hole and Co. for sending liquor into a prohibited district without being labelled.
