GOOD, a ladies’ old-fashioned doubletwisted gold chain-bracelet, set with three carbuncles, each about the size of a threepenny-piece, value £lO ; a ladies’ very heavy flexible bracelet, fin. wide, monogram engraved thereon, value £lO ; a small brown tin cash-box containing £1 ss. Suspicion attached to Patrick Brady, age twentyfour, height 5 ft. 6 in., groom and driver, native of New Zealand, dark complexion, black hair, clean-shaved except small black moustache, brown eyes, well built; generally wears dark clothes and black hard hat; was formerly employed on the sanitary carts in Auckland.

Dunedin.—l3th ultimo, from EUSTACE HENRY PULTON, Caversbam, ten fowls (recovered), value £l. Suspicion attached to Thomas McLennan and Webster. First, age twenty-nine, height 5 ft. 6in., labourer, native of New Zealand. fresh complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, broad nose, large mouth, dressed in grey suit and cap. (See Police Gazette, 1903, page 265.) Second, age about twenty-three, height about 5 ft. 1 in. or 2 in., rabbiter or flax-mill hand, medium build, brown hair, no hair on face ; dressed in dark-tweed suit, well worn, and dark-tweed cap. The fowls were offered for sale to Joe Ki, Walker Street, who can identify one of the offenders—it is supposed McLennan.

Dunedin. —l7th ultimo, from the dwelling of JOSEPH PULLEN, No. 55 Clyde Street, a plain gold bar brooch, small oval-shaped nugget in centre, value £l, and £1 3s. 6d., in money. The bar of brooch may have “ F.J.T.” stamped on back. Breaking and entering.

Ophir. 27th August last, from a wagon, property of MARY WEBB, a black patent-leather portmanteau, may have “W. Webb” scratched on bottom, containing four “ Weldon’s Ladies’ Journals ” with paper patterns of dresses, &c., one pair of black single-strap ladies’ walking-shoes, size 6, a blue underskirt, several handkerchiefs marked “M. Webb,” a silver thimble, a pair of scissors, a tape measure, a piece of fancy-work and silk, forget-me-nots in silk in one corner; value, £1 10s. Suspicion attached to William James Stevens, age twenty-three, height sft. Bin., labourer and groom, native of New Zealand, clean shaved, dark hair and complexion; supposed to have gone to Dunedin.
