APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland. - Harry Saies, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable A. McDonnell, Aratapu police, on information supplied by Constable L. Spellman, Rotorua police. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 345.)

Rawene. — Edward or Ned Saies, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable A McDonnell, Aratapu police, on information supplied by Constable L. Spellman, Rotorua police. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 45.)

Auckland. Mark Cornelius Hurndell, deserter from H.M.S. “Pioneer,” has been arrested by Constable J. Bagrie, Napier police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 335.)

Napier. — John Ackland, default of fine, has been arrested by Constable P. Fearnley, Napier police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1907", pages 173 and 180.)

Taumarunui. — John Carkeek, alias Carson, playing two-up, has been arrested by Detective J. Siddells, Wanganui police, and lodged in Wanganui Gaol. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 377.)

New Plymouth.— John Cook, default of maintenance, has been arrested by Constable J. T. Foley, Oollingwood police, on information received from Detective Connolly and Constable Ryan, Wellington and Christchurch police. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 329.)

Masterton. David Mitchell, false pretences, has been arrested by Constable S. Flewellen, Bingsland police, and convicted. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 292.)

Wellington. — John Bowden, false pretences, has been charged with this offence by Detective C. R. Broberg, Wellington Police, and committed for sentence. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 356.) Offender is identical with John Desmond. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 15.)

Wellington.— William Newman has returned to his home. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 379.)

Wellington. Alfred Ernest Smith, disobeying maintenance order. The warrant of distress has been executed by Constable A. Gregor, Masterton police, and indorsed “No effects.” (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 367.)

Christchurch.— Richard Coker, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Acting-Detective Gibson, Christchurch police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1891, page 109.)

Christchurch. — lvy Eaton has been arrested by Constable R. Allan, Sydenham police, and returned to the Te Oranga Home. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 294.)

Christchurch. — William Arthur Birks, wife desertion, has been arrested by Acting Detective A. E. Andrews, Wellington Police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 378.)

Christchurch. — Walter George Seatree, disobeying order of Court, has been arrested by Constable J. J. Harvey. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 356.)

Timaru. — Charles Gibbs, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Constable Grey, Hunterville police, and sentenced to three months. (See Police Gazette, 1905, page 203.)

Dunedin.— John Osborne Stanley, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested by Detective G. Fitzgerald, Timaru police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 378.)

Gore. — Donald McGregor, default of fine, has been arrested by Sergeant Mackenzie, Gore police, and amount paid. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 302.)

Invercargill— William Simmonds, indecent language, has been arrested by Detective T. Livingstone and Constable R. Moriarty, Lyttelton police, and sentenced to one month. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 338.)

Sydney.— Sydney Diversidge, deserter from H.M.S. “ Challenger,” has been arrested by Constable A. Satherley, GraDity police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1904, page 291.)
