MISSING.
Gisborne.— Since about 1904, Maurice Griffin, age twenty-seven, height 5 ft. 8 in., labourer, native of New Zealand, dark complexion, grey eyes, black curly hair, broad features, clean-shaved, erect carriage, stout build, springy walk, scar on forehead and on wrist, quiet manner, well educated, respectable appearance ; fond of drink, and excitable when under the influence of liquor ; was a member of the Seventh Contingent, and was employed on several lighthouses about three or four yeas ago. About three years ago he left Gisborne suddenly without taking any of his belongings. Inquiry by his father, who thinks he may have committed suicide, or has been committed to some mental hospital.
Kaikoura. —Since 15th March last, Albert Gilling, age sixteen, height about 5 ft. 5 in., medium build, labourer, dark complexion and hair, hazel eyes, a half-caste Maori, has a growth on right eyelid about the size of a pea. He was working for Mr. Askin at Clarence Bridge, near Kaikoura, and was last seen at Seddon. He took with him a “ Tui ” road-racer bicycle, No. 149, the property of Walter Roberts, Kaikoura ; value, £l4. Inquiry by his father.
Christchurch. Since about January last, Alfred Charles Horn, age twenty-seven, height 6 ft. 5 in., labourer, native of Christchuroh, New Zealand, strong build, blue eyes, brown hair, fresh complexion, sandy moustache, caste in one eye (believed the left). Was last heard of in the Ashburton district. Inquiry by Henry John Horn, that may receive his portion of a legaoy.
