Rewards. Detective A. Henderson, No. 108, Auckland police, has been awarded £lO by the Commonwealth of Australia for arresting Frederick William Forward for forging the impression of a seal. (06/1790.) Constable S. Flewellan, No. 400, Bingsland police, has been awarded £2 2s. by the Post and Telegraph Department for services in connection with the conviction of boys for breaking insulators. (07/619.)

Circular No. 4/07.] Annual Report. Inspectors are requested to forward to this office as soon as possible a report upon the district under their charge for the year ending 31st ultimo. They will also attach thereto a list of stations, showing when they inspected each during the year. Any increase of strength required will be recommended, and the reasons therefor given. New buildings or extensive alterations and repairs required need not be mentioned in the annual report, but shoidd form the subject of special reports to be submitted when necessary, a separate report being made on each station referred to. These reports should be sent in during April, if possible, as they will stand a better chance of being included in the current year’s estimates, but may be sent in at any time as hitherto.
