Sydney.— Re alleged robbery on John J. Edmonds: All the property has been recovered except the two sovereigns. (See Police Gazette, 1906, page 83.) (06/462.)
Wollongong. A warrant has been issued by the Wollongong Bench for the arrest of Stephen John Lucas, charged with wife-desertion. He is about twenty-one years of age, 5 ft. 11 in. high, medium build, fair hair and complexion, small fair moustache only ; dressed in a dark suit and light-felt hat; a coal-miner. May go to Newcastle district or New Zealand. (See New South Wales Police Gazette, 1906, page 80.)
Wollongong. A warrant has been issued by the Wollongong Bench for the arrest of Joseph Smith, charged with the larceny of bottles, bones, &c., value £9, the property of DanielSDavies, of Woonona. Offender is nineteen years of in. high, stoutish build, fair complexion,
clean face, black hair; generally dresses in dark clothes and black soft-felt hat; walks slovenly; a general labourer or dealer. May go to Sydney, supposed en route to New Zealand or Richmond River. May be accompanied by Albert Franklin, who is also charged on warrant with larceny. (See New South Wales Police Gazette, 1906, page 81.)
Tasmania. 24th February, 1906, on warrant for leaving his wife without means of support, Richard Connolly, age twenty-nine, height, 5 ft. 9 in., light-brown hair moustache and side whiskers, heavy eyebrows which meet, long straight nose, one tooth missing from upper jaw. Supposed to have left for New Zealand about the 23rd ultimo. For inquiry only, and report if located. (06/512.)
