Waihi.— Jesse Cockhead, alias Tanner, is charged on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for one month in default of paying £5 ss. fine and costs for assault. Description: A native of England, labourer and jockey, thirty-five years of age, 5 ft. 5 in. high, fair complexion, fair hair, heavy fair moustache only, blue eyes, small pug nose, medium build; dressed in dark-tweed sac suit and lightbrown slouch hat. Is supposed to be in the Westland District (see Police Gazette, 1897, page 36). He has paid £1 off the above amount.

Pukekohe. Joe, alias Leslie, Wadell, charged with assaulting Jans Petter Johanson, has been arrested by Constable Wild, Te Aroha police.
Wanganui.— George Burniston is charged on warrant of commitment to Wanganui Gaol for fourteen days in default of paying £2 14s. fine and costs for entering licensed premises when prohibited. Description: A native of England, wharf - labourer, thirty - six years of age,
5 ft. 10 in. high, medium build, dark complexion, pockpitted, dark hair, grey eyes, dark-brown moustache, pointed beard cut short; dressed in grey suit and black hard-felt hat.
Wellington. William Booth is charged on warrant of commitment to the Wellington Prison for seven days in default of paying £1 14s. for threatening behaviour. Description : A native of New Zealand, driver, twenty-six years of age, 5 ft. 8 in. high, dark complexion, dark-brown hair, brown eyes, large nose, W. B. on left arm, narrow features.

Wellington. —James Emeny, charged with default of fine for travelling from Sydney to Wellington without paying his fare, has been arrested by Constables O’Connell and Mitchell, Christchurch police, and lodged in gaol.
Christchurch. — Charles Haynes is charged on warrant with being found on licensed premises on the 15th ultimo during the currency of a prohibition order. Description : A native of New Zealand, plasterer, thirty years of age, 5 ft. 8 in. high, medium build, fair hair and complexion, cleanshaved except fair moustache ; dressed in light-grey suit and brown Dr. Jim hat or grey cap ; is fond of drink.
(See Police Gazette, 1903, page 192.) Dunedin. —John Osmond, charged with manslaughter, has been found drowned in the Dunedin Harbour.
Port Chalmers. —Henrietta Johnson, eight years of age, reports that on the 21st ultimo, at Deborah Bay, a man, name unknown, indecently exposed his person to her. Description: About twenty five years of age, 5 ft. 7 in. or 8 in. high, slight built, pale complexion, clean-shaved except small fair moustache; dressed in dark-serge suit, grey cap, white shirt, and black necktie. Identification doubtful.
