James Conway is inquired for by the Westport police with a view of compelling him to comply with an order of the Court to maintain his wife and child. Description : A native of New Zealand, baker and confectioner, twenty-nine years of age, 6 ft. high, dark hair and moustache turning grey, thin face, slight built, round shoulders, slight stoop ; generally dressed in dark clothes; wears a gold wat B ch and chain. His parents reside in New Plymouth, and his sister, Mrs. Tyrell, at Gisborne. He kept a boardinghouse at Moawhango about three years ago, and was seen at Reefton in May last.

J ohn Molloy is inquired for by the Greymouth police at the instance of his son. Description: A native of Ireland, farmer, sixty-four years of age, about 5 ft. 6 in. high, stout build, full grey whiskers; dressed in dark clothes and hard black hat. Was last heard of on the 7th instant at Greymouth.

Charles O’Loughlin is inquired for by the Huntly police at the instance of his brother, Thomas O’Loughlin, miner, Huntly. Description: A native of New Zealand, labourer, eighteen years of age, about 5 ft. 7 in. high, stylish appearance, dark complexion, large dark eyes, dark hair, full face, square build, very small dark moustache, small finger of right hand off at first joint; dressed in dark worsted coat and vest, brown-tweed trousers, and check-pattern skull-cap. Was last heard of at Huntly on the 27th ultimo.

Lancester.— lnformation is requested concerning the whereabouts of Robert Lancester, a native of Penrith, Cumberland, who was last heard of in Auckland about thirty years ago, and is said to have been a ship-chandler there, but no trace of him can be obtained. Inquiry at the instance of May Batey, Thawfield Cottage, Gilsland, Cumberland, England. (02/1313.)
