Walker. —lnformation is requested concerning the whereabouts of Robert Walker, who is said to have taken up a considerable amount of land in New Zealand, and was working it. He came to the colony from Tenterden, Kent, and is now about sixty-five years of age, about 6ft. high, and had dark-brown hair and long beard, is well educated, and an exceptional good writer. He was last heard of at Auckland or Wellington about twenty years ago, and was then unmarried. Inquiry at the instance of Thomas Barnett, Fairmead, No. 65, Walsingham Road, Hove, Sussex, England. John Coughlan is inquired for by the Wellington police, at the instance of his brother, Henry Coughlan, brickmason, East Sommerville, Massachusetts, America. Description : A native of Ireland, bricklayer, forty-five years of age, 5 ft. 6 in. or 7 in. high, dark complexion, black hair, very dark-brown eyes, clean-shaved except heavy brown moustache, is a good tradesman, and very talkative ; was in Wellington about six years ago, and is supposed to have gone about that time to the Thames or Auckland, but cannot be found there. He was in the New Zealand Armed Constabulary Force from 1879 to 1884 and from 1886 to 1888. If found, information to be forwarded to the Inspector of Police, Wellington.

Edward Morrison is inquired for by the Kihikihi police with a view of serving him with a summons for a breach of the Gaming and Lotteries Act. Description : Supposed native of England, a labourer and billiard-marker, about thirty years of age, 5 ft. sin. or 6in. high, fair complexion and hair, clean-shaved except fair moustache, high cheekbones, smart appearance; dressed in light-tweed trousers brown-tweed coat, and Dr. Jim hat.

James Carter is inquired for by the Patea police, at the instance of his sister, Mrs. Comisky. Description: A native of England, a carpenter, but generally employed as

farm-labourer, fifty-one years of age, 5 ft. 9 in. high, stout build, fair hair and complexion, slovenly appearance, fond of drink.
