Auckland.— William Ashby is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of Court to pav ss. a week towards the support of his illegitimate child. Description : A native of New Zealand, a labourer, thirty-one years of age, 5 ft. 9J in. high, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, small blue eyes, thin nose, upper front teeth missing. Supposed to be working in the King-country. The sum of £9 12s. 6d. is in arrears up to the 13th August, 1901. Complainant: Martha Jane Lineham.

Description : A native of New Zealand, a Venetian-blind maker, twenty-three years of age, 5 ft. 6 in. high, medium build, fresh complexion, dark hair, grey eyes, peculiar shaped uriderlip (see Police Gazette, 1901, pages 158 and 205). On the 24th ultimo there was in arrears the sum of £4 10s. Complainant: Elizabeth Mooar, Addington, Christchurch.

Christchurch. — Joseph Fox is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the maintenance of his unborn illegitimate child. Description: A native of New Zealand, a groom and barman, twenty-one years of age, about 5 ft. 8 in. high, fair complexion, fair curly hair, blue eyes, medium build, clean-shaved ; generally wears brown-tweed sac suit and hard black-felt hat; is son of the licensee of the Zetland Arms Hotel, and was last seen in Cashel Street on the sth instant. Complainant: Clara Wilson, domestic, St. Asaph Street, Christchurch.

Oamaru. — Patrick McCluskey is charged on warrant of commitment to Dunedin Gaol for three months for disobeying an order of Court to pay 6s. 6d. a week t iwards the support of his illegitimate child. Description : A colonial of Irish parents, a blacksmith and labourer, about twentynine years of age, about 5 ft. 8 in. or 9 in. high, stout build, fair complexion, blue eyes, brown hair, reddish moustache only, round features, pug nose, low forehead, short arms, smart appearance, shuts his eyes when laughing; usually dressed in dark-tweed suit and soft black-felt hat. Last seen in Oamaru on the 26th August last.

Dunedin.— John Kellie is charged on warrant with deserting his wife, Rachel Kellie. Description : A native of Glasgow, a currier, about forty years of age, looks younger, 5 ft. 8 in. high, clean - shaved except reddish moustache, thin features and build, ruddy complexion; arrived in Auckland from Melbourne about nine years ago, and worked for Sutherland, a tanner, at Onehunga (see Police Gazette, 1901, page 195). He left Dunedin for Christchurch on the 15th June last.
