Horse- and Cattle-stealing.
Devonport (Auckland). —Marks London, general dealer, Auckland, reports stolen from a paddock at Lake Road, Takapuna, between the 2nd and 16th instant, a bay traphorse, between seven and eight years old, long tail, small lump on left side of nose, mane from wither to crest hanging on right side, and thence to ears on the other side ; scar on breast; value, £2O.

Napier. — W. Thomas, charged with the theft of a mare, saddle, and bridle, the property of the Napier ’Bus Company : Offender sold the stolen property at Pukehou on the 21st ultimo for £3 10s., signing the receipt as “ William Thomas,” and said he would go by train to Wellington on the same day, and thence to Christchurch. He wore the same dress as described in the above-quoted notice.

Hawera. —Heu’s two geldings were impounded on the 28th June last, and sold on the 15th of the following month.
