Missing Friends.
Philip Marsh is inquired for by the Christchurch police with the view of compelling him to pay arrears now due towards the support of his children in the Burnham Industrial School. Description: A native of New Zealand, a labourer, thirty-six years of age, sft. 5f in. high, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, blue eyes, medium nose. (See Police Gazette, 1895, page 120.) May have gone to New South Wales for the shearing-season.
Nathaniel Crisp, formerly a corporal in Royal Artillery, is inquired for by the Rev. J. M. Walker, St. Cuthbert’s Manor, Bedford, England. Description: Thirty-two years of age, dark, about sft. llin. high; married. He left Trincomalee in 1884 or 1885 for Auckland, New Zealand, but no trace of him can be obtained there now. (95/1175.)
