Horse- and Cattle-Stealing.
Whangaroa. —William Day Leslie, Waiaua, reports stolen at Taraire, about the 30th October, 1893, a light-chestnut entire horse, rising six years, about 15 hands high, two white hind legs, white blaze down face, value £10; and a brown filly, bay colour about mouth, branded L on near shoulder, value £6.

Patea. —Theft of James Ball’s sheep : Frederick Fohrmann, Rodolph Lukeschelki, and Frank Lukeschelki have been arrested for this offence by Sergeant Stagpoole, Hawera police. Sheep recovered. Offenders have been remanded on this and several other similar charges.
Bull’s. —Alexander Bruce, Halcombe, reports stolen from a paddock, between the Ist and 15th ultimo, about three hundred lambs ; earmark, a quarter out of off-ear, and hole punched in same ear; value, ss. each.
Woodville. —Alexander Palmer Horne reports stolen on the 3rd ultimo a dark-grey gelding, aged, about 15 hands lin. high, very light-grey head, depression down front of face, near hind-foot white ; value, £ls.
