Missing Friends.
(See Police Gazette, 1894, page 73.) Martin Neylon is at present employed as groom at Smith and McKenna’s, Cumberland Street, Dunedin.
Mary Lynch is inquired for by the Wellington police. Description : Irish, twenty-eight years of age, sft. 4in. or sin. high, dark complexion, round full features, rather stout build, smart tidy appearance. Was at Picton on the 20th March last, and is said to have gone thence to Masterton, but cannot be traced there. Inquiry is with a view of enforcing payment for the maintenance of her throe children in St. Mary’s Industrial School, Nelson ; the sum of £7 10s. being in arrears on the 28th ultimo. She will probably be found in a brothel, or as a cook in some hotel.
Joseph llammell is inquired for by the manager of the Caversham Industrial School, through the Invercargill police. Description : Seventeen years of age, about sft. 2in. high, stout build, dark freckled complexion, cast in left eye, black curly hair, stoops when walking. He was licensed to his father, a farmer, at West Plains, and left with the latter’s consent to seek work. Was at Gore on the 15th January last.
