(From Gazette, 1893, pages 1827, 1536, and 1838.) Amending Regulations for Trout- and Perch-fishing, Wellington Acclimatisation District.
GLASGOW, Governor. ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fourth day of December, 1893. Present:
The Honourable the Premier presiding in Council. WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twentythird day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
of the twenty-fourth day of September then instant, certain regulations were made under “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884 ’’ (hereinafter termed “ the said Act ”), providing for trout- and perch-fishing within the Wellington Acclimatisation District as therein defined : And whereas by a further Order in Council, bearing date the twelfth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of January then instant, the said regulations were in part amended : And whereas it is expedient to revoke such lastmentioned Order in Council, and the amendments thereby made, and to make other provision in lieu thereof : Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke the said recited Order in Council of the twelfth day of January, ono thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, and in lieu thereof doth hereby order as follows: Regulation number two of the regulations made under “ The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884,” dated the twenty-third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, and published in the Neio Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of September then instant, is hereby amended by adding thereto the following words : namely, “ Provided further that it shall be lawful for the said secretary or his deputy in any case where application is made for a license on or after the 20th day of December in any year, to issue a license to any man for the sum of twelve shillings and sixpence, but so that such license shall extend only from the time of granting the same until the termination of the then trout-fishing season.”
