Absconding from Industrial Schools.

John Avery absconded from the licensed service of John Daly, Tahapita, Upper Owake, Catlin’s River, on the 16th ultimo. Description : Seventeen years of age, sft. Sin. high, sallow complexion, dark hair; dress not known. Committed at Dunedin on the 28th February, 1884. Was previously licensed to James Haggin, of North Taieri, from whom he absconded in January, 1891.

James Madson absconded from the licensed service of Mr. Stewart, farmer, Kurow, Oamaru District, on the 6th instant. He was previously with George Archibald, of the same place. Description : Fourteen years and seven months old, sft. 4in. high, stout build, brown hair and complexion; dressed in a dark suit. He went to Lyttelton by road, supposed en route for Wellington, where his mother is in service. Was committed at Dunedin, on the 7th March, 1889.

John Lambert absconded from the licensed service of Cornelius Flynn, farmer, Mosgiel Junction, on the 7th instant. Age, fifteen years and ten months, sft. 4in. high, stout build, dark complexion ; dressed in a brown-tweed suit and brown slouched hat. Committed at Dunedin, on the 22nd February, 1886.

These boys are to be arrested, and returned to the Caversham Industrial School, Dunedin.
