Is bel/eved to be identical with a boy named Fake, an absconder from the Burnham Industrial School.
Dunedin. —Albert Hughes is charged on warrant of commitment (addressed to Robert Thonjlsbn Aitken, Inspector of Cruelty to Animals)/for sevenid%/’ labour in default of paying £3 Is. 6d., finl and fiastsf £or/ill-treating a cow. He is a native of /file(jUauourfer, sixteen years of age, slight build, Owl coijVple; ion ; dressed in white-moleskin trousers and 1 Tight-cflouced-tweed trousers. No further description stn be obtained. Said to have gone up country to look for work.
Hunterville. —£2s Reward.—Alexander Dalzell, farmer, Otairi, reports that, between 8 p.m. on the Ist and 4 a.m. on the 2nd ultimo, the hair was cut off the mane and tail of a horse in his yard. Suspicion attached to John Woolston, a labourer, about twenty-six years of age, sft. 9in. high, medium build, dark complexion, brown eyes, black hair whiskers and moustache, lopg sharp chin (shaved). Lives at Hunterville. Complainant guarantees the above reward on, conviction of the offender or offenders.

Auckland. —Thomas Foley charged with cruelty to a horse : Offender’s name is now reported as “ Thomas Polev.”

Auckland. —Re Hugh Sullivan, charged on warrant of commitment in default of paying £3 ss. towards his son’s maintenance in the Kohimarama Industrial School : The above amount has been paid to Constable N. Scott, Aratapu Police.
