Auckland. —Charles White, Argyle Street, reports stolen from a locker at the West End Rowing Club’s shed, Ponsonby, a red-and-black football-jersey, a large white-woollen sweating ditto, and one for rowing in, white and black hoops, two pairs of white rowing-pants, and two medium-sized towels; value £1 10s.

Kaiapoi. —Frederick Brock is charged on warrant with failing to provide for the support of his three children left with Mrs. Ada Herridge, Woodend. Description: English/ a carpenter, about forty years of age, about sft. 9in. high, stout build, fair complexion, light-brown hair beard whiskers] and moustache, regular features, a widower; dressed, when last seen, in a dark-grey suit and soft black-felt hat. He left for the North Island in April last, and wrote from Foxton on the 3rd October following, saying he was going to take charge of. a flax-mill at Napier.
