Deserting Wives and Families, &c.
(See Police Gazette, 1891, page 219.) Paul C. Wilson, charged with failing to obey an order of the Napier Court, has been arrested by Constable B. O’Brien, Waverley Police.
Invercargill. —William West is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of the Resident Magistrate's Court, made on the 11th Novdtaber last, towards the support/pf |iis illegitimate -child by Elizabeth Odell. Description //English, thirty-eight tj forty years of age, sft. Biii. high, stoutish/.build, hair beard whiskers and moustache, face fresh but somewhat blotched by drink,/ sometimes stutters.- when speaking hurriedly; dressetl, when last seen, insf black paget coat, brown trousers, and greasy hard black-feluhat. He went to Dunedin on the 15th of the same month, and may leave the colony. The warrant is for his arrest within New Zealand only.
Wellington. —Thomas Trudgeon is charged on warrant’, with disobeying an order of the Resident Magistrate’s Court for the support of his wife and family. Description: lish, a pensioner and labourer, forty-five years of age/ sft. 7Jin. high, stout build, dark complexion and hair, darkgrey eyes. Supposed to be working about Napier. He was £sl 2s. in arrear on the Bth instant.
Wellington. Michael Moffitt is charged on warrant with deserting his wife, Annie Moffitt, during the past three, months. Description : A shearer, about thirty years of age, sft. 9in. high, fair complexion, moustache only. Was, on the 2nd November last, working at a station managed by G. : Johnstone, at Motaturoa, Waipukurau, Hawke’s Bay. Photograph at Inspector’s Office, Wellington.
Wellington. —Jeremiah Finnity is charged on warrant with disobeying an order of the Resident Magistrate’s made on the 15th April, 1890, to pay £1 per week towaiZs/ the support of his wife and children. Description.: Irish|=Sr labourer, thirty-three years of age, 6ft. high, slight, build,4 fair complexion, small fair moustache only ; dressrfdLm navy-1 blue cloth suit, and hard black-felt/lAt. .IJ6/iViis £5 in arrears on the 4th instant.
