Municipality of Hobart. — D. R. McMillan is charged, on warrant issued on the Bth instant by W. Tarleton, Esq., P.M., with having, on or about the 23rd ultimo, at Cornwall, Fingal, in Tasmania, feloniously embezzled sums of money amounting to £49, the property of Her Majesty’s Government. Description : Age not given, sft. llin. high, well built, light-blue eyes with heavy lids, dark complexion, dark brown whiskers beard and moustache, cast in one eye; very fond of talking, particularly of the New South Wales Contingent to the Soudan, of which he was a member; was employed in the capacity of Postmaster at the abovementioned place. [ Further description: Mark on right thumb, speaks with broad Scotch accent. His sister, Mrs. Edward Humphres, lives in Dunedin, of which place he is a native. Another warrant has been issued for deserting his wife. Photographs at Inspector's office, Dunedin, and Commissioner's office, Wellington. 91/1102.]
