Colonial Secretary’s Office, Wellington, 16th June, 1891. HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Constable Bartholomew Sheehan to bo an Inspector under “ The Adulteration Prevention Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, within the district comprised in the Counties of West Taupo and Kawhia. Fixing Sittings of the District Courts of Westland, Ashburton, Timaru and Oamaru, and Otago Goldfields.
ONSLOW, Governor. IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Courts of Westland, Ashburton, Timaru and Oamaru, and Otago Goldfields, for civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, from and after the first day of July next, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed:—
Westland District. In the Courthouse, Greymoutli: For civil business only, on the 17th July and 18tli September; for civil and criminal business, on the 16th November, 1891. In the Courthouse, Hokitika: For civil business only, on the 21st July and 22nd September; for civil and criminal business, on the 19th November, 1891. In the Courthouse, Reefton: For civil business only, on the 24th July and 25th September; for civil and criminal business, on the 24th November, 1891. In the Courthouse, Westport: For civil business only, on the 28th July and 27th November; for civil and criminal business, on the 29 th September, 1891. Ashburton District. In the Courthouse, Ashburton, for civil business only, on the 13th August, lGth October, and 11th December, 1891. Timaru and Oamaru District. In the Courthouse, Timaru: For civil business only, on the 18th August and 20th October; for civil and criminal business, on the 15th December, 1891.
In the Courthouse, Oamaru : For civil business only, on the 21st August and 23rd October; for civil and criminal business, on the 18th December, 1891.
Otago Goldfields District. In the Courthouse, Lawrence, for civil and criminal business, on the 26th August, 1891. In the Courthouse, Queenstown, for civil and criminal business, on the 29th October, 1891. Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday. Inspector of School of Anatomy, Dunedin, appointed. Colonial Secretary’s Office, Wellington, 24th June, 1891. HIS Excellency the Governor in Council has been pleased to appoint James Hickson, Esq., Inspector of Police, Dunedin, to be an Inspector of the School of Anatomy, at Dunedin, under “ The Anatomy Act, 1875,” vice S. Moore, Esq. P. A. BUCKLEY.
Inspector of Weights and Measures, Maniototo , appointed. Colonial Secretary’s Office, Wellington, 24th June, 1891. HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Sergeant Henry Green to be Inspector of Weights and Measures, under “ The Weights and Measures Act, 1868,” for the County of Maniototo and for the Borough of Naseby, vice Sergeant Fleming.
