Deserting Wives and Families, &c.
Cecil Pascoe, alias John Cecil Pascoe, is charged, on warrant issued by the Wellington Bench, with intending to desert his wife, at Wellington, since the 3rd instant. Description : English, a station-hand and diver, about thirty-one
years of age, sft. 7in. or Bin. high, slight build, dark complexion, dark-brown eyes, dark curly hair, clean-shaved except moustache, a round mark about the size of a penny on left temple, stooped shoulders; dressed in light-grey-tweed coat, dark-tweed plaid vest, dark-tweed trousers, and shootingcap with double peak ; fond of drink. Ho is supposed to have gone to Gisborne, or along the Wellington and Manawatu Railway-line.

James Irvine, charged on warrant with disobeying a summons to answer a charge of using threatening words, &c., has been arrested by Constable Samuel Stacey, Huntervillo Police, and remanded to Stratford.

Michael Davidson, who absconded from the licensed service of Joseph Hehecr, at Gore, has been found in the employment of James Rodger, farmer, Tapanui District.
William John Leybourne is charged, on warrant issued by the Leeston Bench, with deserting his two children, at Manawatu Gorge, near Palmerston North, since about April, 1887. Description: Supposed English, a clerk, between thirty and thirty-five years of age, about sft. Bin. high, slight build, long features, dark complexion. He was last heard of at Brisbane. The children are being supported by the Selwyn and Ashburton Cliaritable-aid Board.
